Generating clean energy

Archimedean Spiral

The Archimedes Genesis spirals are located in the small waterfall of an old hydroelectric power plant near Ripoll. Unlike conventional turbines, the ability of these turbines to operate at very low flow rates allows electricity to be generated more continuously, economically and efficiently. In addition, the installation of two of these turbines also allows the simultaneous operation of both when the flow is higher, which allows an optimal use of the water resources of the area with a minimum impact.

Asmitec has carried out an integral development of the metallic parts of this device, from the design stage to the assembly, including manufacturing and engineering. Made of materials resistant to abrasion and corrosion, our mission has been to ensure the generation of electricity in the long term.
